Stacey Cames, M.A. CCC-SLP
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, SP14463
Owner, Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc. ​

Stacey is a California Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SP14463).  She holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders from California State University, Chico as well as a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
 
Stacey has over 15 years experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist working in a wide variety of settings from private clinics to non-public and public schools to in-home and community rehab.  In these settings, she has had the opportunity to work with patients and students with an array of communication disorders including children with mild to severe Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome to adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries and strokes, to children with articulation and language impairments.  Stacey enjoys making therapy sessions as functional and fun as possible for her clients as she believes they learn best when they are enjoying themselves!  She is trained in the implementation of Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) and the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) as well as a variety of more complex Augmentative-Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and devices.  Outside of work, Stacey enjoys spending time with her husband and young son on the baseball field or at the lake.

Leah Wondrak, M.A. CCC-SLP
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist

Leah is a Speech-Langauge Pathologist who is licensed by the State of California and certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.  She received her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and has been working with children since. 
Leah’s clinical experiences include providing services to individuals from infancy to age 22 in clinic, school, community, and home settings and specializing in: apraxia of speech, articulation disorders, language disorders, social skills, fluency disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and attention deficit disorders.

​Leah has had the opportunity to gain expert and evidence-based trainings in Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets or PROMPT for a tactile approach to guide children through speech sounds as well as Kauffman Speech Praxis for those with apraxia, Alternative and Augmentative Communication or AAC such as PECS and LAMP, Treatment and Education of Autistic and Communication related handicapped Children or TEACCH for providing individuals through the use of structure and expectations, using a Sensory Integration Approach, and Hanen strategies to target early language intervention by coaching parents to be their child’s best teacher.

Meghan Mitchell, SLPA
Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Meghan Mitchell is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. She is the daughter of an English professor who instilled in her a love for language and its uses.    However, she also wanted to make a career of helping others.   Thus, she chose to study Speech-Language Pathology because it combines aspects of language with helping others communicate effectively.  She has her Associate of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and is currently finishing her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at CSU Sacramento.  In her free time, Meghan enjoys being active outdoors and playing recreational soccer.

Adriana Zarate, B.S. SLPA
Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Adriana graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Minor in Education. She transferred to Sacramento State after receiving an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Science in her hometown of Ukiah, CA. She is striving to achieve a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology to then become a licensed SLP. Adriana is bilingual with Spanish being her first language. In her free time, she loves to be around her family and friends. She enjoys watching movies, painting, and traveling.

Melony Johnson, SLPA

Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

 Melony Johnson graduated from American River College with an Associate in Sciences Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She is excited to start her new career as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. Melony has extensive experience working with and caring for children. She also has experience working with children with disabilities, such as: Autism, Seizures, ADHD, ODD, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, and Intellectual Disabilities.
She has one adult son and one very lazy older boxer/bulldog. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies, camping with her fiancé, reading, baking, and watching her son competitively in bowling or football. She loves coffee, the San Francisco Giants and collects almost anything that has to do with roosters.

Lily Dover, SLPA

Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Lily first started her career in education by being a full time volunteer with the non- profit, AmeriCorps where she dedicated her time to education equity in Sacramento schools. There, she first fell in love with working with children and helping them achieve their goals. Lily then worked for several years as an instructional aide where she worked closely with children with various learning abilities at the elementary and high school levels. She received her Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification at American River College and recently received her Bachelors of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at CSU Sacramento. Lily is a huge movie buff and also loves spending time with her friends, family and adorable Maltese-Poodle, Frida!

Catherine Cunha, M.S. CF-SLP

​Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellow

Catherine was drawn to speech pathology when she began working for a company that provides supported living services for adults with developmental disabilities when she graduated high school. She began taking the required prerequisites to become a nurse, but found her genuine passion was fostering community participation and self-advocacy for adults and children through communication. She went on to graduate from California State University, Sacramento with her Bachelor’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and began working as Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with students of all ages including d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing preschoolers and kindergarteners.
 
She soon returned to the California State University, Sacramento campus to complete her Master’s of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders while working in a new SLPA role in a new role providing regional center early intervention services to families with children up to age three. She helped design and founded a new organization on campus focused on student-led interprofessional education in rehabilitation health science majors and became certified in Lee Silverman Voice Training for neurological voice and articulation disorders.  
 
As a Clinical Fellow, she holds the specific state licensure and credential of a Speech-Language Pathologist in their final year of preparation before becoming federally licensed. During Catherine’s down-time she's perfecting her favorite bread recipes and planning themed gatherings with her book club.

Carissa Stenzel, M.A. CCC-SLP
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist 

​Carissa is a California licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association.  She received her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California State University, Chico.
Carissa has gained a vast amount of experience throughout her career from working with people of all ages within private practices, schools, and nursing homes. She has worked with adults in nursing homes who possessed cognitive-communicative, speech/language, and swallowing disorders. She has had the opportunity to work with children in both private practices and public schools who possessed articulation, language, and fluency disorders; including many individuals with autism spectrum disorder and Down syndrome. 
 
Carissa is skilled at treating mild-severe cases of autism spectrum disorder.  Her love for working with these individuals developed from growing up and caring for her younger brother with autism. She is passionate about working on social skills and is excited to start some social skills groups at this clinic! Carissa conducts comprehensive evaluations, generates functional therapy programs, and serves all her clients in a gentle, compassionate, and educational manner. Carissa values establishing rapport between herself and her clients first and foremost as she believes establishing a trusting and understanding relationship is important in order for effective therapy to result. 
 
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as with her crazy cat, Bagheera and sweet horse, Daisy. Carissa also volunteers as a youth group leader through her church and volunteers at a horse therapy center, where she supervises a young adult with autism.

Katie Cooper, M.S. CCC-SLP
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist ​

Katie obtained her M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2018 from California State University, Sacramento. She is a California licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and received her ASHA certification in 2019. Katie has experience in a variety of clinical settings working with populations across the lifespan. She has a diverse range of speech and language special interests including cleft palate and craniofacial disorders, traumatic brain injury, and adolescent social pragmatics. Katie gained experience in the area of pediatric dysphagia and feeding therapy from UC Davis Medical Center and has been trained in the SOS approach to feeding.
During her free time, Katie enjoys hunting for treasures at thrift stores, exploring the Southwestern states, and spending time with family.

Maureen "Mo" Crowley, SLPA

Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Maureen “Mo” Crowley is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. She has her Associate of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology as well as an Associate of the Arts Degree in Social and Behavioral Science. Mo is currently finishing her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Arizona State University with the ultimate goal of becoming an SLP.  She discovered her passion for speech therapy while working as a behavior therapist for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Mo is married and has a one-year-old son named Callahan. In her free time, Mo enjoys traveling, paddle boarding, photography, and all things Disneyland.

Asmahan Maayeh, M.S. CCC-SLP
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist 

Asmahan “Asma” was interested in the field of Speech Language Pathology while working as a Registered Behavioral Technician with children on the Autism Spectrum after she graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and an Education Minor. 
 
Asma went on to obtain a second Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, and a Masters degree in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders from California State University, Sacramento. She is a California Licensed Speech Language Pathologist and also holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). 
 
Asma is bilingual, with Arabic as her Native Language. In her free time, Asma enjoys reading, traveling, going on long scenic walks, and cooking for her friends and family.

Elise Bonilla, M.S. CCC-SLP
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist

Elise is a Speech Language Pathologist licensed in California and her home state of Texas, and she is also nationally certified by ASHA with her Certificate of Clinical Competence. Elise joins STC as the first dedicated tele-therapist.
Elise began her journey in the field of speech language pathology when she became a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in 2011. She went on to complete her graduate degree in Communicative Disorders in 2014, and she has additional Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and Sociology. Elise is bilingual in English and Spanish and has special training in assessment and treatment of speech and language disorders in bilingual populations.
Elise has worked as a pediatric SLP in a variety of settings including brick and mortar schools, home health, and teletherapy. She has experience working with children ages 1-18 with diverse diagnoses including specific language impairment, articulation disorder, apraxia, stuttering, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and a variety of genetic disorders and syndromes. She first worked in teletherapy beginning in 2017 and later provided trainings and support to other clinicians that used teletherapy for the first time during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Elise is passionate about using literacy and narrative based therapy as meaningful contexts to help students make gains in their speech and language skills. She loves finding and creating therapy materials that use books and stories to help students reach their communication goals and develop a love of literacy that will last a lifetime.

Araceli Ordaz, SLPA
Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Araceli’s love for Speech Pathology sparked in a special day classroom during her time volunteering in high school. She continued her volunteer work throughout her time in community college working with students with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD,  intellectual and developmental disabilities to name a few. While additionally, using her bilingual skills to work with English Language Learners in her home community for Fresno CA. Soon after, Araceli transferred and went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Sacramento State University. At CSUS, Araceli worked at the Children's Center on campus where she gained experience working with toddlers and preschool children. After graduating from Sacramento State she went on to work as a Speech Aide until she obtained her SLPA certification through Loma Linda University. Araceli still plans to receive her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and hopes to educate and give back to her Latino community. Overall, Araceli has a myriad of skills obtained through her experience in various settings. She looks forward to applying her skills to her work and providing quality services.
 
Apart from her appreciation for Speech Language Therapy, she enjoys traveling. Her goal is to travel to each state in the United States, then out of the states. In her spare time, Araceli rides her bike, walks her poodle mix dog, Romeo, and enjoys watching movies. She loves trying food from different cultures and is part of a Roller Derby team.

Annelise Haile, COTA-L
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Annelise is a certified occupational therapy assistant, licensed by the state of California. She specializes in the field of pediatrics and has been working with this population since the start of her career. Annelise is highly experienced with children between the ages of 0-18. She currently works in the early intervention, private practice, and school-based settings, giving her well-rounded and diverse training within the pediatrics population. Annelise treats children with a diverse range of diagnoses, including Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Sensory Processing Disorder, and intellectual and developmental disabilities, to name a few. Annelise enjoys championing children towards progress and seeing them thrive in all settings of life!
In her downtime, Annelise loves spending time with friends and family, going to the movies, studying all things science, and going on adventures with her labradoodle, Rooney!

Analissa Ramirez

Teletherapy Assistant

Analissa is a fourth year student at California State University, Sacramento majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She will be graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree to pursue her goal to achieve a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology to become a licensed SLP. Analissa’s passion in becoming an SLP took place from her caring personality to help children achieve their greatest potential. She has multiple family members with autism which encouraged her to join a field where it is rewarding to help people and their families and create a positive impact in their lives. Analissa is bilingual as both of her parent’s first language was Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, binge watching different shows and movies, and loves to explore places and try different foods and treats. ​

Priscilla Ramirez

Teletherapy Assistant

Priscilla is currently attending Sacramento State University. She is double majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Child and Adolescent Development (Elementary Pre Credential).  Her goal is to achieve a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology and then become a licensed SLP.  Her interest in becoming a SLP stems from her passion to help children reach their full potential as she has multiple family members with autism. She aspires to help others as those who helped her family members. Priscilla is bilingual as her parent's first language was Spanish. Priscilla is excited to start working as a SLP Teletherapy Assistant to learn how to help children with language and communication issues. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves reading new novels, watching movies, and baking delicious treats.  ​

Jill Laughter
Office Manager

​Jill is the Office Manager and holds a bachelor's degree in Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco. Jill grew up in Solano County and is married with two children. Jill brings a vast knowledge of navigating the complex area of children's therapy through her own journey of raising a child on the Autism Spectrum.  In her spare time, Jill enjoys hiking, spending time with her family, and rooting for her beloved Seattle Seahawks! ​

Elaine Naggi, M.A. CCC-SLP
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist


Elaine is a SLP who is CA licensed and certified by the ASLHA.  She received her BA and MA in Speech Pathology and Audiology from San Jose State University.  Elaine has 40+ years' experience treating individuals with a wide range of communication disorders and has worked with clients ranging between preschool aged through adulthood.  The majority of her experience has been in the public schools, but she also has worked in clinics and a speech camp in Oregon.  She was a special education teacher for 10 years with the Solano County Office of Education.  Elaine has supervised numerous SLPAs, CFs, and student teachers.  Elaine is a devoted sports fan (especially the Giants) along with being an avid walker, gardener and bargain hunter.   She also is an active member of her church's Faith Formation team.  She is delighted to join the Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc. family.

Rigoberto Maldonado, SLPA
Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Rigo Maldonado is a bilingual (Spanish, English) Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. He graduated from CSU Sacramento with a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Before his undergraduate studies, Rigo worked for two California school districts in various capacities, including 2 years as a Special Education Paraeducator. This role served as an introduction to Speech-Language Pathology, as Rigo was able to observe speech sessions and collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and parents.

Speech-Language Pathology combines Rigo’s passions for education and language. He is a proponent of fair equality of opportunity and wants to help clients reach their goals.

Rigo is a 1st generation American with roots in the Mexican states of Michoacán and Jalisco. He is the third of four siblings. His ties to Mexican culture are strong, as he is a big fan of Mexican music, food, and soccer.

Rigo is committed to serving all populations to the highest standards. He is excited to collaborate with parents, clients, and colleagues at Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc.

Cassie Sherwin, M.S., CF-SLP

Clinical Fellow, Speech Language Pathologist

 Cassie is a California licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who received her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California State University, Chico. As a Clinical Fellow, Cassie holds a specific credential and license for Speech-Language Pathologists who are in their final year of preparation before becoming federally licensed. 
Cassie benefits from the knowledge she gained working with children with articulation, language, and fluency disorders in both public schools and private practices. In these settings, she developed a passion for supporting communication and self advocacy strategies in children of all ages. Cassie prioritizes rapport building and collaboration between students, families, and educators in order to promote successful change in the lives of her students. 
In her free time, Cassie enjoys painting, hiking, paddle boarding, and spending time with friends and family!

Brittany Davis, M.S. CCC-SLP
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist

Brittany grew up in Napa California before moving to Seattle, Washington in 2011. She completed her undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of Washington, then moved back to California to complete her graduate degree in Communication Disorders at San Francisco State University. During her gap year, Brittany worked as a certified behavior technician doing behavior therapy with young children with Autism. Brittany participated in the Project Building Bridges Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Grant Program while in graduate school and then completed an additional training program for AAC through Speech Pathology Group during her first year as an SLP. She has experience working with clients ranging from preschool to high school, with a variety of backgrounds or complexities that result in a need for communication supports, including Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. 
 
When Brittany is not working with children and adolescents in finding their voice, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, or playing video games at home. She also tries to find time to volunteer at a local women's center in her neighborhood, enjoys listening to audiobooks, and likes to stay up to date with current events.

Tasha Nelson, M.S. CCC-SLP
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist

Tasha is a certified speech-language pathologist (SLP) with over fifteen years of clinical experience. She believes her responsibility as a therapist is to help empower every client to live their most confident, secure, and joyful life. She has focused primarily on pediatric therapy over a large age range from early intervention through high school in the clinic, school, and home health settings. She also has experience working with geriatric clients for a variety of language, cognition, and swallowing difficulties in the outpatient and home health settings.  Tasha is PROMPT Trained, Hanen Trained, ABA Trained, and trained in structured literacy techniques. Her areas of interest and specialty include: literacy as it relates to speech and language differences, motor speech disorders, and oral motor difficulties. She also has extensive experience working with clients of a variety of ages with Autism Spectrum Disorder. It has been a joy to work with so many wonderful clients over the years and to celebrate their successes with them!
