Madison Crawford, SLPA
Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

My name is Madison Crawford aka Maddie. I grew interested in the field of Speech Language Pathology after my dad suffered from a stroke and was diagnosed with Aphasia. After accompanying him at several speech therapy visits, I grew to love what he was being taught and how beneficial it was to his life. I figured if I went to school for speech I could not only be a direct source for my dad’s improvement of everyday communication and living, but I could also learn ways to help people like him.

I graduated from Sacramento State in 2024 with my Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders and moved forward to complete a SLPA program at Chico State University. Through this program I was able to intern and learn so much about speech and how to help those with differences of many kinds and I’m forever grateful for the experience.

I am very open to the world around me and I’m really passionate about being kind and being considerate of others perspectives being that’s a big part of what we have to do in this field and in life! In my spare time I am always trying to learn a new skill of some sort. My favorite thing to do is listen to music of all kinds and be creative in many ways as often as I can outside of work!”
